Mirror of Kalandra, a.k.a Mirror is the most valuable currency in Path of Exile, and is often used for trading high value items. It is one of the rarest items to find in the game, and can be dropped from monsters, chests and loot containers.

By using a Mirror on a Rare quality item, you will be able to duplicate the base item. Mirroring unique, or already mirrored items is not possible. Mirrors should only be used on the absolute best rares in the game, or as a trading currency.
