Why Should You Train Fletching ?
Fletching is a really old skill that does not have that many uses unless you are an ironman. There are only 2 practical uses for the skill which are: crafting scrimshaws and fletching endgame ranged weapons. Aside from these it's a really fast and easy skill to train for those that want to increase their skill total level.
There are also some quests that require a certain Fletching level to complete. Those quests are as follows:
- Big Chompy Bird Hunting - Fletching Level 5
- The Tourist Trap - Fletching Level 10
- The Fremennik Trials - Fletching Level 25
- Zogre Flesh Eaters - Fletching Level 30
- Catapult Construction - Fletching Level 42
- Devious Minds - Fletching Level 50
- In Pyre Need - Fletching Level 53
- Within the Light - Fletching Level 70
- The Branches of Darkmeyer - Fletching Level 70
- River of Blood - Fletching Level 75
To get a quest cape you need to have at least level 75 fletching.
Lastly if you are looking to complete all the aerial tasks to receive their benefits you will need to have at least level 93 fletching.
Fletching Guide
Before we get into the actual ways of training this skill, there are a lot of buffs and items that you need to know about. If you already know about them or if you do not care, please skip to the title called "1-99 and Beyond Fletching Training".

Wergali Incense Stick
Consuming one of these will give you a 0.5% chance to produce a strung bow when fletching logs into unstrung bows. Their potency level will increase every 10 minutes and can go up to 4 stacks (2%). Overloading consumes 6 sticks but instantly provides potency level 4.
Relic Power
This is a relic power which you can activate if you have level 118 Archaeology. When active it grants the player a 2% experience boost to Fletching.
Crystal Knife
This knife is created by using the crystal singing bowl with a tool seed and around 150 harmonic dust. Alternatively you can pay Ilfeen, Eluned, Islywn or Rhodri Dail 1,500-7,500 coins to turn the tool seed into the crystal knife. This knife has two effects which are beneficial for your training:
- It gives 5% chance to get double arrow shafts from fletching logs or double tempered fungal shafts from Zygomite carestyling.
- It gives another 5% chance to give the player a strung bow instead of an unstrung bow when fletching unstrung bows.
Wise Perk
This is a perk that can be attached to any of your tools or equipable items. It provides an additional 1% experience boost to your Fletching per rank, up to 50,000 experience per day. It is advised to place it on an off-hand or a main-hand weapon.

After you reach level 99 Fletching you can start wearing its cape. Wearing this cape provides a 0.75% chance to make extra bolts, arrows and darts when fletching them.
Portable Fletcher
The portable fletcher is a reward from treasure hunter. Alternatively you can buy them from other players through trading or using the Grand exchange. You can deploy them which spawns a fletching table that lasts for 5 minutes. You can use multiple at a time to increase its time by 5 minutes per fletcher used. Fletching using this gives you the following bonuses:
- 10% Fletching experience boost.
- 10% Chance to save logs when fletching bows or crossbows excluding elder logs.
- 10% chance to save arrowheads and headless arrows when making arrows.
- 10% chance to save unfinished bolts and feather when fletching bows.

This is a potion which flat out boosts your fletching level by 3. You can use it to fletch higher tier items earlier.

Protean Logs
Protean logs are a reward from treasure hunter. They are used to train fletching in a very AFK manner. Since they are untradable you won't be losing any money while training as well. Also the experience these logs gives scales with your Fletching level.

To be able to fletch broad arrows, you first need to unlock the ability to do so for 300 slayer points. With this method you can expect to get around 675K base experience per hour.
