The Roblox Jujutsu Infinite Maximum Techniques are a set of powerful techniques that can easily take your opponents. But of course, some of these abilities are a cut above the rest. When you’ve leveled up high enough and you have the right Maximum Techniques, you’ll be unstoppable.

How to Get Maximums
First, let's cover the basics of obtaining a maximum technique. If you're reading this, you probably have some idea of what that entails, but if not, let’s break it down for you.
The most straightforward way to get a maximum technique is through the storyline. This method guarantees that you'll get it if you defeat Joo, which is required at around level 360. Defeating Joo at this level should grant you the maximum scroll.
However, if you don’t receive the maximum scroll after defeating Joo—perhaps due to a bug—don’t worry. You’ll need to head to the solo queue specifically for Joo.
There’s a boss queue server where you can initiate this fight. Make sure to solo the fight at level 360, as this should ensure you receive the maximum scroll upon completion.
There are also alternative ways to acquire the maximum scroll. One option is through drops. These are rare, with a drop rate of about 0.1% from chests.
Additionally, there’s the Curse Market, where you can exchange various items for the maximum scroll. If the guaranteed storyline method doesn’t pan out, these alternatives are worth exploring.
How to Use Maximums
Now, let’s assume you’ve gotten your hands on a maximum scroll. Once you’ve used it and obtained your maximum, you might be wondering how to actually use it. Don’t worry, it’s a straightforward process.
To activate a maximum, you’ll need three Black Flash tokens. Acquiring these tokens requires you to build up your focus bar. First, ensure you’ve unlocked the focus tree and enabled the initial node. This is essential for performing Black Flashes. Once that’s set up, you can start building your focus. As you do this, you’ll notice white bars at the bottom of your screen. These bars are indicators that will eventually turn red, signifying that you’ve earned a Black Flash token.
For example, when you see one blue bar, it represents a focus token. By performing a Black Flash—right-clicking during the appropriate moment—you’ll generate a red Black Flash token. Repeat this process until you’ve accumulated three red tokens. Once you have three Black Flash tokens, you’re ready to perform your maximum technique.
And there you have it: with your focus bar filled and tokens ready, you’re set to unleash your maximum. This method ensures you can reliably use your maximum technique whenever needed.

Best Maximum Techniques
Volcano | Max Meteor
Let’s start with Volcano, also known as Max Meteor. This maximum technique is often labeled as the "weakest" of the maximums, though honestly, it’s still quite strong despite that reputation. When we tested it with our stats, the damage output was 3,674 from the Max Meteor alone. There may have been additional burn damage, but we didn’t include that in the calculation.
The key strengths of Max Meteor include its gigantic area of effect (AOE), making it almost impossible to miss. It also has no range limit or range drop-off, meaning you can cast it from one end of the map, and it’ll still reach the other side. These features make it a very reliable and powerful tool in open areas.
However, there are some drawbacks. While its AOE is massive, cramped spaces can lead to accidental hits on walls or unintended targets. Friends of mine have complained about this issue, though we personally don’t find it to be a significant problem. Another point to consider is the casting wind-up time. It takes a moment to prepare and travels somewhat slowly, but this isn’t a major disadvantage in most situations. These negatives are pretty minor when compared to its strengths.
Even though Max Meteor is often considered the weakest maximum, it’s still a solid choice. Let’s face it: every maximum technique in the game is strong, so you’re not going wrong with any of them.
Cursed Queen | Jacob's Ladder
Next, let’s talk about Cursed Queen’s Jacob’s Ladder, a technique that I would argue is one of the most ridiculously overpowered maximums in the game. It can deal insane amounts of damage if used correctly. Here’s how it works: you place the ability down, and it marks any nearby enemies. The marking is inescapable—once it’s set, no amount of running, teleporting, or hiding on the other side of the map will save them. Eventually, a massive beam will strike from the sky, obliterating everything it’s locked onto and dealing damage to each target individually within the beam.
From my testing, a single beam of Jacob’s Ladder deals 4,080 damage with my current stats. What makes this move so absurd is its ability to stack damage. If you group multiple NPCs together—say, during an investigation or near a boss fight—Jacob’s Ladder can devastate them all at once. For example, let’s say there’s a boss surrounded by 12 NPCs. Each beam will deal its individual damage, and all beams will lock onto the same spot. With each beam dealing 4,000 damage, you’re looking at a potential total of 48,000 damage if all the beams hit their target.
Depending on how many enemies you group together, you can easily deal hundreds of thousands of damage, potentially one-shotting bosses with a single cast. This move is the ultimate PVE destroyer. No other maximum comes close to Jacob’s Ladder in terms of raw damage potential. With its domain active, the damage becomes even more devastating since the attack becomes unavoidable, guaranteeing hits no matter where the targets are.
However, Jacob’s Ladder isn’t without its weaknesses. The biggest drawback is its vulnerability to being canceled. Once you summon Jacob’s Ladder, Ra appears above the targeted location. If enemies manage to attack Ra—who has around 500 HP—the entire technique is canceled. This makes it less reliable in PVP scenarios where players can easily disrupt it. In PVE, though, this rarely happens, which is why Jacob’s Ladder excels in that area.
The downside is more of a consideration than a major flaw, especially in PVE. However, in situations where enemies are aware of how the ability works, you’ll need to plan carefully to avoid having Ra taken out prematurely. Despite this, Jacob’s Ladder is easily one of the strongest maximum techniques you can use.

Demon Vessel | Heian Awakening
Let’s talk about Demon Vessel, also known as Heian Awakening. This maximum is unique because it’s not a single skill but a mode. When you activate Heian Awakening, you transform into a high-powered version of yourself, reminiscent of a Heian Sukuna.
This transformation enhances some of your existing skills. For instance, if you have Dismantle and Cleave on your toolbar, they will be replaced with improved versions that are stronger and can now be chanted for added effects.
Heian Awakening also introduces a special move called World Cutting Slash. To execute this, you must chant Dismantle and Cleave within a short timeframe. World Cutting Slash is incredibly powerful, dealing a base damage of 4,200, not including the additional damage from the chanted Dismantle and Cleave.
This results in an insane damage output when executed properly. The chanted versions of Dismantle and Cleave themselves are formidable and contribute to the overall effectiveness of this mode.
Additionally, during this transformation, your M1 attacks inflict bleed on your targets, further increasing your DPS. This mode lasts for 2 minutes and 8 seconds, making it the longest-lasting mode currently available.
However, there are some negatives to consider. First, World Cutting Slash is expensive to perform. It effectively requires five focus tokens: three to activate the mode via black flashes and two more for chanting Dismantle and Cleave.
Because of this high cost, you might not get to use World Cutting Slash more than once or twice during the mode’s duration.
Another downside is the high cooldown on Cleave. This cooldown isn’t exclusive to the maximum but is still a limitation, as it reduces how often you can chain skills or perform World Cutting Slash. Lastly, the damage application of World Cutting Slash is delayed.
After activating it, there’s a noticeable lag of about three seconds before the damage registers. This delay can be frustrating in fights, especially against bosses like the Finger Bearer, as they can iframe the damage entirely during that time, wasting your effort and setup.
Despite these negatives, Heian Awakening is still a strong contender, particularly in PVP. The bleed effect from your M1 attacks, combined with the overall power of your enhanced skills, makes it a viable and effective choice.
Infinity | Six Eyes
Infinity, or Six Eyes, is another mode-based maximum, sharing some similarities with Heian Awakening. Upon activation, your moves Lapse Blue and Reversal Red are upgraded into stronger variants, with additional chanted versions available for even more power.
The chanted versions are particularly useful, offering greater damage and utility.
A standout feature of this mode is the ability to combine chanted Lapse Blue and Reversal Red to create the Hollow Purple Nuke. This devastating skill deals approximately 4,700 damage, making it one of the highest-damage moves in the game, excluding Jacob’s Ladder stacking.
Hollow Purple Nuke is also excellent for PVE due to its massive area of effect, the largest in the entire game.

The mode itself lasts for 1 minute and 38 seconds, shorter than Heian Awakening but still substantial given the lower cooldowns on your key skills.
For example, Lapse Blue has an exceptionally low cooldown, and Reversal Red’s cooldown is also relatively short, allowing you to chant and execute Hollow Purple Nuke multiple times—three or more—within the mode's duration.
The M1 attacks during this mode have a unique feature as well. Instead of inflicting bleed, they create a vacuum effect, pulling NPCs toward your attacks. This added control can be particularly useful for grouping enemies or managing battlefield positioning.
However, there are some drawbacks to consider. Like Heian Awakening, this mode also requires five focus tokens to maximize its potential. Additionally, the chanted orbs of Lapse Blue and Reversal Red have only 1 HP, meaning they can be destroyed easily.
If one orb is destroyed, it can completely ruin your setup for Hollow Purple Nuke. To avoid this, it’s best to always cast Lapse Blue first since its cooldown is much shorter, giving you a backup plan if the orb is destroyed.
Despite these weaknesses, Infinity’s Six Eyes mode is an incredibly strong choice, especially for PVE, where its massive AOE and frequent Hollow Purple Nukes can dominate enemies. Its utility and power make it one of the most versatile and effective maximums in the game.
Star Rage | Total Collapse
Star Rage, often referred to as Total Collapse or the "Black Hole," is one of the most visually impressive and unique maximums. It’s notable for being one of the few maximums that can be chanted independently.
When activated, it generates a massive black hole that pulls in everything within its range while dealing continuous damage in that area.
The black hole’s suction effect is its most powerful feature, as it makes it difficult for enemies to escape its range. This can create an opening to combo other moves within the black hole’s area, amplifying your overall damage output.
However, this suction isn’t selective—it will pull you in as well if you’re too close, and you’ll take some self-inflicted damage. The self-damage isn’t as significant as the damage dealt to enemies, but it’s still something to consider, as it can eat away about 15% of your health bar.
The regular version of Total Collapse is fairly easy to avoid. Enemies can simply dodge backward using mobility moves like the "E" dodge, which takes them out of range quickly. The chanted version, however, is a whole different story.
The enchanted black hole has an insane range and makes it almost impossible for enemies to escape its pull, making it far more effective for trapping foes.
While the chanted version also deals about 300 more damage than the regular version, this increase isn’t its main appeal. Instead, the enhanced range and pull effect make it far superior for controlling the battlefield.

There’s also a clever trick with the chanted version: you can combo it with Hollow Purple. By initiating Total Collapse and then immediately activating Hollow Purple, you can charge up an incredibly powerful move while remaining safe from the black hole’s grasp.
Enemies trapped within the black hole will be unable to retaliate effectively, and by the time the black hole ends, you’ll have Hollow Purple ready to unleash, dealing devastating damage.
The major downside of Total Collapse remains its self-damage. This drawback means you need to be cautious about your positioning when using the black hole, especially in close-quarters combat.
Despite this, the move shines in PVP scenarios, where its trapping capability and synergy with other high-damage skills can turn the tide of a battle. The self-inflicted damage is a small price to pay for the control and combo potential it offers.
PvP Strategies
Since you’re now a master of Maximums, let’s dive into a detailed guide on how to dominate PVP in Roblox Jujutsu Infinite. This guide isn’t just about builds—it’s about understanding strategies, mechanics, and how to adapt your playstyle to crush every match you enter. Don’t worry about your build too much; we’ll show you how to make the most out of any setup. Let’s get started!
The Basics: Nodes and Core Abilities
While builds can vary, there are certain abilities and nodes that everyone should grab for PVP success. Here’s a quick rundown:
Health Node
Grab the first node of Health to unlock parries. Perfectly timed blocks let you stun your opponent, giving you an opportunity for free combos. Parries are essential in PVP and can turn the tide of a fight.
Focus Node
Unlock the Focus Awaken node to get three focus tokens and access to Black Flash. This adds extra M1 damage and is critical for Mastery moves like Jacob’s Ladder, which can obliterate opponents when used correctly.
Technique Node
The Technique Node unlocks the Cursed Tendril move. This ability lets you grab an opponent from a distance and pull them in for a free combo. If you’re using a Heavenly Restriction build, the move adapts into Chain Tendril, which works just as well. It’s a must-have.
Strength Node
The Strength Awaken node unlocks charge rushes and skills for combo continuation. These moves are excellent for closing gaps and keeping your damage output high.
Universal Tip
For any build—whether it’s geared toward PVP or PVE—grab the first node in every stat. This gives you access to essential tools like parries, focus, tendrils, and combo extenders.
Core PVP Strategies
Baiting Your Opponent
PVP is as much about mind games as it is about raw mechanics. The key is to bait your opponent into committing to a move so you can punish them. Once they’re locked into an animation, you can capitalize with a combo.
Venting
If you’re caught in a long combo, use the venting mechanic to escape. Timing your vent correctly can save you from losing a significant chunk of health.
Combos and Buffs
When fighting, always focus on extending your combos. For example, start with Cursed Tendril to pull your opponent in, then follow up with moves like Black Flash or Cleave. Also, don’t forget to buff yourself whenever you get a chance. Buffing can give you the edge in damage and survivability.
Real-Time PVP Insights
To give you a better understanding, let’s go through a mock battle scenario with key moments and decisions:
- Opening Moves: Start by using Cursed Tendril to pull your opponent in. This sets you up for a free combo right out of the gate. Once they’re in range, hit them with M1 attacks and follow up with Cleave or Black Flash.
- Reacting to Opponent Moves: If they rush you, block and attempt a parry. After their third M1, they’ll have end lag, giving you an opening to counter.
- Using Eye-Frame Moves: Abilities like Hollow Purple or Jacob’s Ladder provide eye frames, making you untouchable during their animations. Use these moves strategically to avoid damage and turn the fight in your favor.
- Punishing End Lag: When your opponent finishes a move with significant end lag, close the gap and punish them with your strongest skills. Quick decision-making is crucial here.
Advanced Tips and Tricks
Dash Mechanics
Use your dashes wisely to avoid attacks and reposition. The "E" dodge doesn’t require a target, making it perfect for escaping AOE moves or resetting your position. Combine dashes with rushes to maintain mobility while staying aggressive.
Timing and Patience
Don’t rush every engagement. Sometimes, waiting for your opponent to make the first move is the best strategy. Bait them into wasting a powerful ability, then counterattack when they’re vulnerable.
Weapon Integration
Don’t forget to use your weapon abilities. These add extra moves to your kit and can be crucial for extending combos or dealing additional damage.
Practical Example: Fight Breakdown
In a fight, your thought process might look like this:
- Engage: Use Cursed Tendril to initiate combat. Buff yourself immediately after landing the first combo.
- Combo: Extend your combos with moves like Black Flash, Cleave, or Jacob’s Ladder. Keep the pressure on to prevent them from recovering.
- Defend: If they counterattack, block their moves and attempt to parry. Use venting if you’re caught in a combo.
- Reposition: Dash or dodge to reset the fight if needed. Look for openings to re-engage.
- Finish: When their health is low, use a high-damage move like Hollow Purple or a domain expansion to close out the fight.
Key Takeaways
- Bait and Punish: Draw your opponent into using their abilities, then counter with combos.
- Extend Combos: Use Cursed Tendril, focus abilities, and weapon moves to maximize damage.
- Adapt and React: Pay attention to your opponent’s patterns and adjust your strategy accordingly.
PVP isn’t about having the best build—it’s about how well you use the tools at your disposal. Mastering these techniques and strategies will give you the edge in any battle.
