Event Pets
Event pets are unique because you can't trade for them directly. Examples include:
- Scooby-Doo
- Pumpkin
- 2D Kitten
- The most recent event pet: the Teapot
These pets often hold sentimental value since they can no longer be obtained.
Common Pets
Let’s dive into common pets and their values, starting with the basics:
- Cat, Dog, Buffalo, and Otter: These are the base pets with the lowest value.
- Color Code Key:
- The top-right corner shows the demand level and color-coded value.
- Ride Potion Value: How many of a specific pet would equal one ride potion.
Examples:
- Mouse: Requires 25 mice for a ride potion. Honestly, who's trading 25 mice for one ride potion?
- Armadillo: Available from the Desert Egg.
- Shadow Mole: Found in the Japan Egg.
- Blue Gwale: Purchased with gingerbread during the 2023 holiday event.
- Ghost: Cost candy in 2023.
Observations:
- Pets like the Blue Bottle Fly seem oddly valuable despite their appearance.
- The Bandicoot from the Aussie Egg has about twice the value of a Dog or Cat.
Most Valuable Common Pets
- Flying Fish: Despite its availability in mega form, avoid overpaying for this common pet.
- Chicken: The rarest common pet. One chicken nearly equals one ride potion in value. Chickens are high-demand and can often be traded for multiple legendaries.
- Ash Zebra & Chick: These pets also hold significant value, requiring several to equal one ride potion.
Uncommon Pets
Uncommon pets have a wider range of value and demand.
Highlights:
- Chocolate Labrador: Found in the Retired Egg, not the Cracked Egg as some players think.
- Donkey & Tawny Frogmouth: From the Urban Egg.
- Hermit Crab & Lobster: Summer Fest pets.
- Frogspawn: A surprisingly valuable uncommon due to its unique design and event origins.
Demand Tiers:
- Pets like the Snowman (2020) still hold value despite their age.
- The Rock and Eggnog Dog (2023) are fun throwbacks but remain challenging to trade for ride potions.
Notable Uncommon Pets:
- Butterflies: Always popular.
- 2021 Birthday Butterfly: A costly pet with medium demand.
- Chickatrice: Higher-than-expected demand for this 2022 pet.
- Snow Leopard: Rarely seen in trades but unique nonetheless.
- Dolphin & Triceratops: Classic pets from older updates.
Fun Facts:
- Pinocchio (now Pistachio) and other rare uncommon pets can still be found, but they’re often overlooked by players.
- Black Panther & Wild Boar: These pets begin to bridge the gap between uncommon and legendary due to their unique demand.
Rare Pets
- Blue Dog: Sitting at a surprising value of nine ride potions. That’s wild!
- Grouped Rarities: Pets like the Beaver, Snow Puma, Rabbit, Bunny, and Ox are technically all at 0.05 in value. The Bunny edges out slightly in preference, but they’re essentially the same tier.
Unique Rare Pets and Their Origins:
- Zebra, Parakeet, and Orangutan: Found in Cracked, Royal, or Pet Eggs.
- Black Moon Bear: From the Bear Box.
- Shetland Pony: Exclusive to the Pony Box.
- Weevil (Garden Egg): Surprisingly outranks pets from boxes. This might be due to box pets being overabundant.
- Orange Betta Fish: Introduced during the Summerfest. Its value, 0.06, is unexpected for a recent pet.
Interesting Finds
- Thorny Devil and Desert Egg Pets: If you held onto your special Desert Eggs, their value might grow over time.
- Toy Poodle, Indian Leopard, and Eggnog Hare: Rare but not widely seen in trades.
Food-Themed and Uncommon Pets
- Pudding Cat: A food lover's dream! Definitely a fan favorite.
- Goldfish: If this pet was removed, its value might increase. Keep an eye on these transitions.
- Kiwi: This exotic pet is highly valued and likely to grow in demand further.
Old Favorites and High Values
- Reindeer, Swan, Polar Bear, and Rhino: Iconic pets that hover near the value of one ride potion. These are excellent trade targets if you’re aiming to offload ride potions.
- Elephant: Valued at seven ride potions—a hefty price but reflective of its desirability.
- Cow: A fan-favorite worth an impressive 12 ride potions! Its high demand keeps it consistently valuable.
Additional Observations
- Evil Rock: With a Robux purchase price of 75 Robux each, it’s interesting to see how trade values are calculated.
- Pig and Shrew:
- A Pig is worth two ride potions.
- A Shrew holds a trade value of 1.25 ride potions.
Ultra-Rare Pets
Let’s talk about Ultra-Rare pets in Adopt Me!—there are 147 Ultra-Rare pets in the game! While we can’t cover every single one, we’ll highlight some of the key pets, their values, and trading tips.
Trade Values Overview
- Swordfish: 10 Swordfish = 1 Ride Potion
- Golden Mahi Mahi: Similar in value to the Swordfish.
- Sloth: Costs 200 Robux, but its value is only 0.1 of a Ride Potion. You’d need 10 Sloths (2,000 Robux) to equal one Ride Potion in value—a bit disappointing!
- Bee: Requires a Honey Pot (200 Robux) for a chance at this pet.
Noteworthy Pets and Costs
- Alley Cat: Costs 2,500 Bucks—a pricey option!
- Trapdoor Snail & Spider Crab: Also 2,500 Bucks each.
Seasonal and Event Pets
- Ribbon Seal: Likely a Christmas pet obtained through event currency, not Bucks.
- Gingerbread Mouse: The main prize from the Advent Calendar on Christmas Day.
- Water Rabbit & Pink Betta Fish: Surprisingly high in value compared to older pets like the Gingerbread Mouse.
- Mythic Egg Pets (Hydra & Wyvern): Now considered exotic due to the egg's rarity.
- Penguin & King Penguin: Robux pets with unique consumable mechanics.
Underrated Gems
- Snowball Pet: A Robux pet valued at 0.3 Ride Potions. You could trade 1 Ride Potion for 3 Snowball Pets—a cute and budget-friendly option!
- Ice Wolf: Initially 500 Robux but now valued at 0.85 Ride Potions—a significant drop.
Expensive Ultra-Rares
- Pelican: Shockingly valued at 7 Ride Potions, despite not costing Robux. This newer pet has skyrocketed in demand!
- Wild Boar: Requires 26 Ride Potions—a high-demand vintage pet.
- Dalmatians: Often valued at 15 Ride Potions, despite being priced at just 150 Robux when available.
Legendary
For legendary pets, values are now measured in terms of Arctic Reindeers. This provides a more consistent reference than ride potions. Arctic Reindeers have maintained steady demand and serve as a reliable benchmark for trade values.
Highlights from the Legendary Tier List
- Golden Tortoise Beetle
Valued higher than a Golden Mummy Cat. - Mecha Meow
A pet with potential. Despite current low demand, owning one might pay off in the future. - Golden Dragon
Surprisingly high on the list, offering great trade potential. - Blue Butterfly
A Summerfest pet with unexpectedly high value. - Tree Kangaroo
Recent yet highly sought after, exceeding the value of some Robux pets. - Unicorn
Now only obtainable through the retired egg (VIP feature), making it increasingly rare. - Rosy Maple Moth
Surprisingly valuable despite its recent introduction. - Majestic Pony
One of the biggest surprises. Given away freely by many players, its value has skyrocketed.

As a bonus, we’re revealing our top 10 trading tips to help you on your way to getting that dream pet.
Tip #1: Know Your Pet’s Worth
This is one of the most important tips. It might sound obvious, but before you click accept on any trade, you need to understand what your pet is worth.
Going into a trade without knowing its value risks accepting an offer that’s too low for your pet. In general, the older and rarer the pet, the more it’s worth—but there are exceptions. Doing a little research can make a massive difference.
For example, if you're trying to trade a crow, watch several trading videos on YouTube to see what offers others get and what they accept.
You can also try accepting offers on your crow for a while, but don’t accept them until you have a solid understanding of its value. Once you know its worth, you can confidently enter trades and avoid being underpaid.
Tip #2: Find the Right Server
Now that you know your pet’s worth, you need to find the right server to trade it in. Not all servers are the same. Some are rich in pets, some aren’t, and some may not even be active trading servers.
For instance, if you have a neon parrot that you're looking to trade, you're going to have a tough time getting fair offers in a server where most players are leveling starter pets.
On the other hand, if you're surrounded by players with Shadow Dragons and Bat Dragons while you're trying to trade a Metal Ox, it might be time to switch servers.
Try to find a busy server with players who have similar pets to yours. To find these rich or busy servers, click on the server list and scroll through the available ones.
When we look for a rich server, we look for servers with 46 or 47 players in them and where players have spent Robux on their avatars. We find that people with expensive-looking avatars tend to have bigger, rarer pet collections than those with basic avatars.
You’ll know you’re in a trading server if the chat is active with trade requests.
Tip #3: Don’t Settle for Low Offers
You’re going to get a lot of offers that are under the value of your pet. Don’t get impatient and accept a low offer. You’ve done your research, you know your pet’s value, so don’t be afraid to ask them to add more if they’re undervaluing your pet.
It’s likely that the person making the offer knows they’re underpaying and is trying to make a profit on your pet.
Take your time and don’t feel pressured into accepting a trade that you don’t feel comfortable with.
Tip #4: Switch Pets if You're Not Getting Offers
If you’ve been on the same server for a while and you’re not getting good offers—or any offers at all—it might be time to rotate the pet you're offering.
There’s a maximum of 47 players per server, and not all of them will be interested in the pet you're currently offering.
Try switching to a different pet in your inventory or try our next tip.
Tip #5: Be Patient When Advertising Your Pets
It will eventually come to a point where everyone in the server has seen the pet you’re trying to trade. Don’t get discouraged if they’re not offering. Some pets are more desirable than others, and sometimes people just aren’t interested in your pet at that moment.
At this point, it’s time to switch servers and advertise your pets to a whole new group of people. Let others know what you’re trading by using the chat. Don’t spam it, though—people are likely to ignore you if you do that. But it’s important to let others know what you're offering.
If you're looking for a specific pet (e.g., a Parrot), and there’s only one person with a Parrot in the server who isn’t interested in your offer, use the chat to say you’re looking for one.
Even though you can only have one pet out at a time, that doesn’t mean someone doesn’t have a Parrot just sitting in their inventory.
You’ll find that those players are more likely to accept a fair trade, as opposed to people who are holding onto their pets and looking for overpay.
Tip #6: Don’t Get Declined Too Early
Have you ever been in a trade where the other player clicked "decline" before you finished adding your pets? Or seen someone in chat saying, “I was still adding”? People expect the first pet you add to be the most expensive part of your offer.
Let me explain: If you’re offering for a Turtle and add a bunch of common and uncommon pets, then just as you’re about to add a Kangaroo, they click “decline,” it’s better to start with the Kangaroo and then add other pets after.
It may sound obvious, but you’d be surprised how often this happens!
Bonus Tip: Getting Free Pets
There are a few opportunities to get free pets in the game and this one is foolproof. Make sure to follow these steps.
First, we need to head to the center of the map, right where we are now. This person has a ton of legendary pets, so we’re starting at the heart of the game where everything happens. Once you’re at the center, the next step is to head inside the Nursery.
Once inside the Nursery, go straight ahead to the Pets section. Here, we’ll be interacting with a character who seems to love cats. By interacting with these bots, we trigger a special process designed to promote us in Adopt Me, giving us better chances to get amazing pets.
Next, we’ll head to the Royal Egg and visit Sir Wolfington. This part of the process is crucial for boosting our status in Adopt Me. After talking to Sir Wolfington, we’ll proceed to the next step of the method.
Once Sir Wolfington’s dialogue is complete, we’re going to the Royal Egg area. Here, we need to jump five times. We’ll count together: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. After jumping, we move on to the next step.
Now that we’ve completed the jumping, it’s time to pick a pet. We want to push this method to the limit, so we’re choosing a Shadow Dragon. Once we’ve selected our pet, we need to click on it three times (or tap it three times if you’re on mobile). Here we go: 1, 2, 3.
After clicking on the pet three times, we need to zoom out from first-person mode. Then, we go straight to the Babies section of the map. Once there, we interact with another bot called Annie. Talking to Annie will help us move closer to unlocking better pets.
Now it’s time to switch to a Baby avatar. After we switch, we need to go to the crib and sleep for 5 seconds. Ready? Let’s go: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. After sleeping, we’ll continue with the next steps.
Next, we need to go straight to the hospital and talk to Nurse KNE. This is another important part of the glitch. Interacting with Nurse KNE is another step in promoting ourselves in Adopt Me, helping us get even better pets. After talking to Nurse KNE, we’ll move on to the final steps.
Now, we need to head over to the Healing Room in the hospital and grab as many healing apples as we can.
We’ll keep clicking on the apples until we get a message saying, “You cannot get any more of these.” Once we get the message, click “OK,” and then we’ll head to the next step.
Now that we’ve got the message, we head to another crib and sleep for 5 seconds again. Once the timer’s up, we’ll talk to the doctor and confirm the next step. This is another process that helps promote us in the game, unlocking better pets.
At this point, we’re almost there! The final steps involve moving straight through the map to a red cup area, and then heading to the water.
Once we’re in the water, we need to click on the inventory, click on “Gifts,” scroll up, and then click on “+” and confirm. This step finalizes the method and ensures we get the best pets possible.
