Long Walkthrough

Starting Out - A Kebab Revolution

Just outside the eastern entrance to Civitas illa Fortis, you'll find Emelio's house in Outer Fortis. He's got this brilliant idea about introducing something called a "kabit" to Varlamore - which you'll quickly realize is actually a kebab. After correcting his pronunciation, he'll share his plans to open a shop but mentions he's hit a snag: his supplies haven't arrived yet. Your first task is tracking down these missing deliveries.

Supply Chain Issues

Spice box location

The spice situation is your first stop. Head to the bazaar in Civitas illa Fortis and look for the spice merchant in the south-eastern corner. Turns out the spices are here, but there's a catch - they're locked in a box from our old friend Ali Morrisane (classic Ali). You'll need to crack a four-digit PIN to get them. Look at the keypad brightness and you'll spot the sequence: 2546. Hit the → key to confirm and the box will pop open.

Dealing with the Dire Wolf

Dire wolf encounter

Next up is the meat delivery. Make your way west to Ortus Farm and chat with Alba inside the building north of the Buffalo pen. She'll explain that a pack of wolves has been causing havoc, delaying the delivery. Being the helpful adventurer you are, you volunteer to handle it.

Pro tip: Before heading to the wolf den west of the farm, gear up properly. You're about to face a level 113 Dire Wolf Alpha that can be quite nasty if you're unprepared.

The Wolf Fight The Dire Wolf Alpha isn't your average wolf. Here's what you need to know:

  • It hits hard with melee attacks
  • Can summon dire wolves that use ranged attacks
  • Only summons backup if you're in melee range

Quick Tip: There's a great safespot behind the stalagmites north of the cave exit. Use this to avoid the melee hits and prevent additional wolves from spawning.

The Perfect Kebab Formula

After sorting out the wolf situation and returning to Emelio, you'll find he's gathered three "food critics" from the local pub. Now it's time for some kebab science. Each connoisseur will give you specific feedback about the ratios:

Vincens wants the sauce to equal the combined spice and salad (S1 = S2 + S3)
Renata insists on less spice than salad (S2 < S3)
Lucas demands twice as much meat as salad (M = 2*S3)

The Colosseum Challenge

After figuring out the perfect kebab ratio (4 meat/2 salad/1 spice/3 sauce), Emelio decides it's time to market his creation at the Fortis Colosseum. He hands you a couple of test kebabs and sends you off to find Lelia in the southern room of the lobby area.

While initially skeptical (aren't they all?), Lelia changes her tune after tasting the kebab. She spots an opportunity - there's a free advertising slot in the next contest. The catch? You'll need to eat a kebab and fight a young minotaur as part of the show. Because apparently nothing sells food like combat!

The Minotaur Fight

Minotaur fight arena

When you're ready to face the level 193 minotaur, Lelia will ask if you want to enter the arena. Here's what you need to know about this unique boss fight:

Equipment Setup:

  • Your best slash weapon
  • Strong melee armor
  • Prayer potions
  • High-healing food
  • Emergency teleport (just in case)

Boss Mechanics:

  1. Basic Attack:
    • Uses melee attacks
    • Can be blocked with Protect from Melee
    • Moves at running speed
    • Can path around pillars
  2. Special Attacks:
    • "Moo!" = Magic attack coming
    • "Moooooo!" = Attacks speed up by 1 tick

Important Notes:

  • The minotaur is immune to binds and poison
  • Weak to slash attacks
  • If you die or leave, talk to Lelia to try again

Fighting Strategy:

  1. Keep Protect from Melee on as your default prayer
  2. When you hear "Moo!", quickly switch to Protect from Magic
  3. Switch back to Protect from Melee after the magic attack hits
  4. During the faster attack phase (after "Moooooo!"), focus on keeping your health high
  5. Use the pillars to create distance if you need to heal

Finishing Up

After taking down the minotaur (and probably working up an appetite), Lelia will be impressed with both your fighting skills and the kebab's marketing potential. She'll send you back to Emelio with the good news.

Return one final time to Emelio, who's absolutely thrilled about the successful promotion at the Colosseum. As a token of his appreciation, he'll offer you a permanent discount at his new kebab shop.

Common Mistakes to Avoid:

  • Don't forget to switch prayers during the minotaur fight - those magic attacks hit hard!
  • Make sure to have the exact kebab ratio (4/2/1/3) when talking to Emelio
  • Keep your health above 50 during the wolf fight if not using the safespot
  • Don't leave during any phase of the quest without completing it, or you'll need to start that section over

Quest Rewards

  • 1 Quest point
  • 8,000 Cooking experience
  • Access to Emelio's Kebab Shop with a permanent discount
  • A new fast-travel option to Civitas illa Fortis (via the kebab shop)
