Long Walkthrough
Getting Started
Ready to dive into the world of royal gardening? This quest is all about helping Queen Ellamaria build her garden, though you might end up doing some questionable things along the way - like stealing statues and manipulating people with a magic ring. But hey, it's for the greater good of Varrock's landscaping, right?
First stop is the Varrock Palace kitchen. Make your way behind the Varrock palace, into the garden where the Queen is. Chatting with her will give you a list of plants that she needs. Make sure to chat with her again to get the trolley - you'll need it for our statue-stealing adventures later.
Farming Equipment: Throughout this quest, you'll want to keep these farming tools handy:
- Rake
- Seed dibber
- Spade
- Secateurs
- Watering can
- Gardening trowel
Getting That Ring Upgrade

Remember that Ring of Charos from Creature of Fenkenstrain? Time to give it an upgrade. Head to the Draynor Village and talk to the Wise Old Man. Quick warning - if you've got multiple rings of charos, the extras will disappear, so bank them first!
From him, you will learn about the Queen’s past. Then comes the fun part - he'll test whether you're worthy of an enhanced ring with seven questions. Here's a tip: nail the first six questions, and the seventh answer doesn't matter.
The Quiz Questions
Here are all seven questions with the correct answers - and yes, some are pretty amusing:
- Show them a range of colours so they can compromise
- Take his generous gift even though you don't need it
- It's absolutely, unquestionably the most interesting thing ever!
- Put on the silly helmet and jump into the cannon
- You of course Pkmaster0036, no one could challenge your greatness!
- Ask me nicely and I might consider it
- No, especially not that wise old man, who doesn't look suspicious
After passing the test, your ring gets upgraded to Ring of charos(a). This is required for completing this quest, as we will go around charming a bunch of NPCs. And no, you can't charm the Wise Old Man himself - nice try!
Seed Gathering Guide

A quick note before we start: Always wear your Ring of charos(a) when talking to farmers, but DON'T plant anything before talking to them first.
Elstan's Delphinium Seeds (Port Sarim)
Head to the farming patch near Port Sarim. Here's how to charm Elstan:
- Ask about delphinium seeds
- Use the charm options:
- "That's why I came to an expert"
- "Not just AN expert - they say you're THE expert"
- "Oh no, I love gardening stories..."
- "Millions? Just what I wanted to hear..."
- Important: When you are asked to grow Marigolds, do not charm him.
Tips for Marigolds:
- Takes 20 minutes to grow
- Use ultracompost if you have it
- Plant cure on hand just in case
- Perfect time to work on other parts while waiting
- Planted marigolds before talking to him? They won't count!
Lyra's Orchid Seeds (Port Phasmatys)
Head to the farming patch near Fenkenstrain's Castle. Another charm sequence:
- Ask about orchid seeds
- Follow the charm dialogue:
- "If you tell me your problems..."
- "Yes, I was wondering about that"
- "Times must be very hard for you"
- "Whatever you've done, I'm sure you had just cause"
- "And what is the nature of this fee?"
- "If not yours, whose blood are you offering?"
- "How can you deal with such guilt?"
- Again, DON'T charm when agreeing to grow onions
Kragen's Snowdrop Seeds (Ardougne)
Head to the farming patch north of Ardougne. This guy's got a bit of an attitude, but we can work with that:
- Ask about snowdrop seeds
- Time to charm:
- "You seem a little irritable, my friend"
- "I don't like seeing a fellow human so upset"
- "So what ails you, my friend?"
- "Well, is there anything I can do?"
- "So what can I do for you?"
- Like the others, agree normally to grow cabbages
- Pro tip: Use both allotment patches to increase success chance
Dantaera's White Tree (Catherby)

This one's a bit different - no growing required, but you'll need to collect a cutting:
- Chat about growing a White Tree
- Charm sequence:
- "I think there's something you're not telling me"
- "A secret is dreadful to keep to yourself"
- "Unless you let me do this she'll die anyway"
- After getting permission:
- Head to Ice Mountain (near Edgeville)
- Bring secateurs and a filled plant pot
- Cut the tree, pot the cutting, water it
- Keep it watered or it won't transplant later!
Brother Althric's Rose Seeds (Edgeville)

- Converse with him about his roses (Charm: "These are the most beautiful rosebushes...")
- He'll spot your ring and demand you throw it in the Edgeville well
- IMPORTANT: Don't throw the ring away before this conversation!
- After tossing the ring, get your rose seeds
- Fish the ring back out with a fishing rod (might take a few tries)
- Lost the ring? You'll need to revisit Dr. Fenkenstrain
Vine Seeds Section - The Burthorpe Challenge
Here's where we mix some alchemy with our farming skills:
Bernald at Burthorpe
- You can find him near the pub in Burthorpe
- Ring of charos(a) on, charm him (Chat 2•1)
- You'll discover his vines are dying
- First attempt:
- Use regular plant cure
- Spoiler: It won't work
- Talk to Bernald again for next step
Alain's Special Cure
- Find Alain at Taverley tree patch
- IMPORTANT: Take off your ring! You won’t get any help if you try to charm him
- Create the enhanced cure:
- Crush rune/pure essence with hammer
- Use pestle and mortar on shards
- Add dust to second plant cure
- Return to Bernald's vines with the new cure
- Collect your vine seeds
Garden Preparation

Now for the main event - setting up the queen's garden:
Required Items:
- 2 compost buckets
- All your collected seeds
- Basic farming gear
- Both statues (we'll get to those next)
Garden Layout:
- Fill stone pots with compost first
- Plant orchids:
- Yellow orchids in east pot
- Pink orchids in west pot
- Follow plot markers for other seeds
- White tree goes in center
The Great Statue Heist
Lumbridge Statue
- Head to Lumbridge Castle
- Check both statues outside - we want the king statue (south side)
- Use trolley on it
- Push/pull across the bridge
- Scene changes to Varrock automatically
- Pro tip: If you get stuck, logout and back in to reset trolley position
- Place on northern plinth in queen's garden
Falador Statue - The Trickier One

- Head to Falador square (not the park statue!)
- Use trolley on Saradomin statue
- You'll see a cutscene with PKMaster0036
- IMPORTANT: Move fast after cutscene
- Guards will notice if you take too long
- Have to start over if they spot you
- Once out of city, scene changes to Varrock
- Place on central plinth
Key Things to Remember:
- Don't teleport with statue on trolley
- Random events can reset progress
- Lost trolley? Talk to Ellamaria for a new one
- Each statue has a specific plinth location
- Can't place statues until spots are ready
Final Steps:

- Wait for all plants to grow (10-15 minutes)
- Everything must be:
- Fully grown
- In correct spots
- Statues properly placed
- Talk to Ellamaria
- Get King Roald (wear ring!)
- Watch final cutscene
- Don't move or click during cutscene!
