OSRS: Efficient Questing for Optimal Builds

If you’re done with your main account in OSRS, your next best step is to create a specific build for your next account. While the items and the gear are pretty easy to get a hold of, one challenging aspect of creating a specific build is questing. Doing all quests isn’t possible if you’re following a specific build in the game.

On this guide, we’ll show you a list of the most optimal quest for some of the best builds in the game. We’ll note down a few important details about the build, and then showcase the list of quests and their requirements as well.

Skiller

A Skiller account is one that focuses on leveling EVERYTHING EXCEPT COMBAT SKILLS. Now, this becomes very challenging because combat is a huge part of OSRS. Quests become even more complicated as you generally have to avoid ones that give any form of Combat XP.

Combat Pure

While Skillers focus on non-combat Skills, Combat Pures are the complete opposite. Instead, builds like this focus mainly on combat skills, keeping all non-combat skills to the minimum level - or at least at the lowest possible. Oddly enough, this isn’t any easier than Skiller accounts as a huge portion of the game also focuses on resource grinding. For quests, here are some you’re going to have to do.

Defense Pure

Defense Pures are account builds where you maintain a very low Defense level in exchange for having a high offense. There are a few variations of Defense Pures which differ depending on the level of your Defense. Those include 1 Defense, 13 Defense, and more.

It depends on what type of Defense Pure you’re going after but you generally have to avoid quests that give Defense XP. What’s good about the Defense Pures is that it’s very easy to adjust your build with the different types of Defense Pures.

Tips For OSRS Questing

Questing is a major part of building a character in OSRS. As you can’t redo the rewards or any of the quests on a single account, it’s important to take these tips with you before you go out adventuring.

  1. Plan Ahead

Planning ahead is very important if you’re going to want to create a specific account in OSRS. You can freely enjoy the game and all of the quests it has to offer on a regular account but other than that, things are more strict when it comes to specific builds.

It’s important to keep in mind that you can’t respect any of your XP in the game. As such, if you gain enough XP to get your Defence to level 2 on a 1 Defence account, there’s no way to redo it. By planning ahead, you’ll know which quests to take and which ones to avoid for a smoother run.

  1. Seek Help From The Community

One of the best things about the OSRS community is that there are always people who are willing to lend a helping hand. Be it with questing or with training, don’t be afraid to seek out new friends in forums and other places who can help you create the perfect build.

There are OSRS clans that are made specifically to guide players into making specific builds so you might want to check them out first.

  1. Consider Buying Accounts

There are a few websites where you can skip the hard work and get ready-made specific builds for OSRS. These are great options if you simply want to try out other builds or you want to practice your skills in PvP content.

Before buying an account, you’ll need to take note of a few things.

  • Credibility - Only transact with websites that are already established. RPGStash has been in the industry for as long as OSRS has existed! Their time on the industry is a testament to the trust that gamers have on their products.

  • Price - Make sure to compare prices between the websites you’ve chosen. Some sell accounts higher than others. You only want what’s best for your money after all don’t be afraid to compare.

  • Support - Buying from websites that have 24/7 support across a good selection of platforms will do you well. Just in case there are issues when it comes to account transfer or your payment, you can easily reach out to the merchant.

Time To Go Questing

Creating accounts like these in OSRS can be hard because of the specific routes you have to take. We highly suggest fully enjoying a main account before anything else because there’s so much that you can miss out on by building specific accounts.
