Money is everything in Old School Runescape, whether you want to train your stats, look cool, or slay high-level creatures you will need a lot of gold to do so. Luckily this game houses a lot of money-making methods for us to use but some of them stand out as the best ones. This guide will take a look at those and provide you with a list of the best things you can spend your time doing in OSRS if you are looking to increase your wealth!

This guide starts off with pretty easy methods and goes up to harder challenges for high-end players who have reached the end game. We'll cover everything from accessible bosses like Demonic Gorillas to high-end challenges like the Colosseum, with detailed strategies and gear setups for each method. Starting with options that can net you 4M+ per hour and scaling all the way up to an impressive 17M+ per hour, you'll discover the perfect money-making method for your skill level and budget.

If you are not yet at the end game and looking for the best ways to make some money on OSRS, you can check out our newest:

As mentioned above, even the best methods in OSRS can only get you up to 17M per hour, and that is if you are a machine of a player that can tackle the hardest challenges the game can offer over and over again. If you value your time and want to skip the annoying parts of the game, you can simply purchase OSRS Gold from our website. It has almost 13K reviews on Trustpilot and is one of the safest places to acquire gold on OSRS!

Killing Demonic Gorillas

Demonic Gorillas in Old School Runescape

We will start with the easiest content and make our way up! Demonic gorillas are a monster that you can kill after you have completed the quest Monkey Madness 2. These creatures can use all 3 protection prayers and combat styles, so the fight is really click intensive. Don’t let this dissuade you; they are pretty easy to farm once you get the hang of their mechanics.

Requirements

  • Level 85+ in all combat styles
  • Level 77 in Prayer
  • Level 69+ in Slayer
  • Completion of the quest Monkey Madness 2
  • Completion of the quest King’s Ransom for piety

Depending on your level and wealth, you can choose to bring one of the following equipment:

Note: Since you will be switching combat styles, you must also bring gear switches.

  • Being on task will massively benefit you, alongside demon bane weapons
  • Slayer helmet (i)
  • Fighter torso/Barrows equipment or better for melee
  • Blessed d’hide set or better for ranged
  • Ahrim’s or better for mage
  • If you don’t want to have too many switches, you can bring the boots of stone. Otherwise, you can choose one style as primary and use the best boots you have for that style and don’t switch.
  • Emberlight/Arclight for melee weapon
  • Toxic blowpipe with amethyst darts/Scorching bow with amethyst or dragon arrows for ranged weapon
  • Purging staff/Trident of the seas/Trident of the swamp for magic weapon
  • Divine combat and ranging potion
  • 4-5 Prayer potions
  • Sharks or better for food

If you don’t have any good gear switches and if you are not on task, you can opt into using elite void. These gorillas are mainly killed for their zenyte shards, which are around 20M with a drop rate of 1/300. Heavy ballista pieces have also gone up recently, so you can expect to make some money no matter which drops you get. If you want a deep dive into killing these monsters, you can check out our OSRS Demonic Gorilla Guide.

Doing this method for an entire hour will net you 4.8M gold!

Killing Tormented Demons

Tormented Demons in Old School Runescape

Tormented demons have been introduced to the game just last year and currently are the most profitable slayer monsters that you can farm. They have quite a few mechanics, and if you want to farm them efficiently, you might want to check out our OSRS Easy Tormented Demons Guide. If you are already somewhat familiar with the mob, here are the simplified requirements:

Requirements

  • Completion of the quest While Guthix Sleeps to access these demons
  • Completion of the quest King’s Ransom for piety
  • Completion of the quest A Kingdom Divided for demon bane and death charge spells
  • Level 85+ Strength
  • Level 82+ Attack
  • Level 80+ Defence
  • Level 80+ Hitpoints
  • Level 85+ Ranged
  • Level 82+ Magic
  • Level 77+ Prayer

These monsters utilise all 3 combat styles and protection prayers as well, so you will need 2 different styles to deal with them:

  • Slayer helmet (i)
  • Bandos/Fighter torso/Mixed d’hide or better for melee armor
  • Ahrim’s or better for magic
  • Blessed d’hide/Hueycoatl d’hide/Armadyl or better for ranged
  • Emberlight/Arclight for melee
  • Purging staff for magic
  • Scorching bow with dragon arrows or Toxic blowpipe with amethyst darts for ranged
  • If you are not on task and want more inventory space, you can opt into full elite void.
  • Divine combat and ranging potion, Prayer potions, and food alongside runes to cast death charge and dark demon bane (if you are using magic)

Tormented demons have really bad regular drops, but they have amazing rare drops. You are mainly looking for the tormented synapse and the burning claw drops:

  • Tormented synapse - 49M - 1/500 drop rate
  • Burning claw - 8M - 1/501 drop rate

As you can see, the drop rates are not looking that bad. Doing this consistently will net you around 6.8M per hour!

Killing Araxxor

Araxxor boss in Old School Runescape

Araxxor is the latest Slayer boss that has been added into the game. This spider can be found in Morytania and has some pretty hefty requirements and mechanics. But since it is a Slayer boss, it is quite easy to farm if you know what you are doing. If you are not familiar with this boss, you can check out our OSRS Araxxor Guide to learn everything you need to take down this boss effectively.

Requirements

  • Completion of the quest Priest in Peril for Morytania access
  • Level 82+ Attack
  • Level 90+ Strength (99 recommended)
  • Level 85+ Ranged (99 recommended)
  • Level 94 Magic if you are going to use vengeance, otherwise level 80 Magic for death charge and thralls
  • Level 74+ Prayer
  • Level 92+ Slayer
  • Level 72 Smithing and 86 Crafting to craft the rewards

The weakness of this boss is crush, so any crush equipment will perform well here. If you want the full list of items, please check out our Araxxor guide as mentioned above. The best-in-slot gear list includes:

  • Slayer helmet (i)
  • Inquisitor hauberk and plateskirt
  • Scythe of vitur (set to crush)
  • Amulet of rancour
  • Ultor ring
  • Primordial boots
  • Infernal cape
  • Ferocious gloves
  • Elder maul/Burning claws or dragon claws
  • Heavy ballista with dragon javelins (if you are not using vengeance)
  • Divine combat and ranging potion
  • Extended anti-venom+
  • Food and prayer restoration potions
  • Runes for your spells

Araxxor has pretty decent regular drops alongside some valuable rare drops. The rare drops are not tradable and must be crafted into tradable equipment before you can sell them. To craft the halberd, you will need:

  • Noxious pommel - 1/200
  • Noxious point - 1/200
  • Noxious blade - 1/200

Combining these items will create the Noxious halberd, which is worth 24M. For the amulet, which is the main drop, you will need:

  • Araxyte fang - 1/600

This fang can be used to create the best-in-slot amulet, Rancour, which is worth 90M.

Killing Araxxor as efficiently as possible will yield 5.7M gold per hour.

Killing Vorkath

Vorkath boss in Old School Runescape

Vorkath is known to be the “money dragon”. This dragon does not have that many good rare drops but have incredible regular drops which makes it worthwhile to farm. If you have not killed this boss before you can check out our OSRS Vorkath Guide.

Requirements

  • Level 99 Strength
  • Level 90+ Attack
  • Level 85+ Defence
  • Level 70+ Prayer
  • Completion of the quest Dragon Slayer 2 to access Vorkath
  • Fremennik sea boots 4 or a house in taverley for boss access
  • Level 82+ Construction for ornate rejuvenation pool

If you are farming this boss regularly you can use Ranged or Melee, but for this guide, we are going to stick with melee as if you get that down it is the most efficient method to use for killing this boss. You should check your own damage calculation to see if you are better off with a slayer helmet or a salve amulet (ei) since depending on your equipment it can change.

  • Full torva/bandos
  • Dragon hunter lance
  • Avernic defender
  • Ferocious gloves
  • Primordial boots
  • Ultor ring
  • Bandos godsword

This method of farming Vorkath is known to be the most efficient. Start by equipping your Bandos godsword and activate both Piety and Protect from Magic. Land one special attack on Vorkath - whether it hits or not, switch to your dragon hunter lance and defender to begin the fight properly. If you've got the cash to spare, dragon claws make for an even better spec weapon, though they'll cost you more.

You'll want to keep Protect from Magic up throughout the fight to avoid Vorkath's dragonfire. The high defense from your melee gear should handle most of the ranged and melee damage.

One thing to watch out for: your full melee setup might put your magic attack bonus below -65, which means your Crumble Undead could splash on the zombie spawn. To prevent this, quickly swap to your BGS when Vorkath freezes you before casting the spell. Another option is bringing a Slayer's staff to autocast Crumble Undead. As long as you stay above -65 magic attack, the spell will always one-shot the spawn.

Between kills, heal up and restore your prayer points. If you've got enough special attack energy, get that BGS ready for another spec.

With combat stats in the 90s, you should easily manage 4-6 kills per trip, mainly limited by inventory space. To maximize profits, most players leave behind unnoted dragonhides and start fresh once they're full on bones. If you're determined to extend your trips beyond 6 kills, consider bringing some high alchemy runes - though this isn't usually necessary.

Doing this consistently will net you 4.7M per hour!

Killing Zulrah

Zulrah boss in Old School Runescape

Just like Vorkath is known for being the money dragon, Zulrah is known for being the money snake since its conception. Although Zulrah is a mid-level boss that can be killed with low-level or welfare gear, we are going to look at the most efficient path to maximize our profits. If you don’t know how to kill this boss, you can check out our OSRS Zulrah Guide!

Requirements

  • Level 95+ Magic
  • Level 95+ Ranged
  • Level 77+ Prayer
  • Level 80+ Defence
  • Progressed enough with Regicide
  • Level 71-76 Agility if using fairy rings
  • Masori armour set for ranged
  • Ancestral set for Magic
  • Twisted bow/Toxic blowpipe for Ranged weapon
  • Tumuken’s shadow or Harmonised nightmarestaff for Magic weapon
  • Saturated heart
  • Ring of suffering (ri)
  • Runes for greater thralls if not using fire surge
  • Divine bastion potion
  • Prayer and anti-venom potions
  • Food

Killing the money snake for an hour with maximum efficiency will average 4.6M gold per hour!

Killing Venenatis

Venenatis boss in Old School Runescape

Venenatis, unlike Araxxor, does not have any hefty requirements, is extremely easy to kill, and has better gold per hour, but these are for a good reason. Venenatis is a Wilderness boss and this makes things extremely challenging if you encounter a PKer that is. The best option to use against a PKer would be to bring a scout account and leave it at the entrance to the spider's lair with Wilderness Player Notifications on. This way you will be prepared to escape beforehand. If you never killed Venenatis before, you can check out our OSRS Venenatis Guide!

Requirements

  • Level 80+ Strength
  • Level 80+ Attack
  • Level 70+ Prayer

Since this is the Wilderness, always make sure you are not risking an important item. Bring 4 valuable items and always keep your Protect Item prayer on. If you are not confident, you can bring 3 items instead.

  • Ursine chainmace (the most important item)
  • Mithril darts for little spiders
  • Slayer helmet if on task, Helm of Neitiznot if not
  • Barrows gloves
  • Black d’hide
  • Amulet of strength
  • Mythical cape
  • Ultor ring
  • Avernic defender (l)
  • Looting bag
  • Blighted super restores, anglerfishes
  • Stamina potion
  • Saradomin brews
  • Dinh’s Bulwark for PKers if you want to

There is not much to this boss at all, as we have said the real challenge are the PKers. If you can kill this boss efficiently, you can expect to average around 7M per hour!

Killing Vet’ion

Vet’ion boss in Old School Runescape

Continuing on with the second most profitable boss in the Wilderness, Vet’ion. You can take the same precautions that were mentioned on the previous boss. This boss is also pretty easy to kill. It only requires you to dodge the incoming attacks and kill some hellhounds along the way.

Requirements

  • Level 70+ Prayer for piety
  • Level 80+ Attack
  • Level 90+ Strength
  • Ursine Chainmace (the most important item)
  • Avernic Defender (l)
  • Salve amulet (e)
  • Black d’hide/Proselyte
  • Ultor ring
  • Looting bag
  • Divine Super combat potion
  • Blighted anglerfish and super restores
  • Saradomin brews
  • Stamina potion

If you can successfully avoid PKers for extended periods of time, you can expect to make around 5.3M per hour!

Killing Kree’arra

Kree’arra boss in Old School Runescape

Now we are moving onto the two most profitable God Wars Dungeon bosses. Since God Wars is really old the bosses in this dungeon are also pretty easy by today's standards. There are many ways to kill this boss but we are looking for the most efficient way to maximise our profits! This can be done by using a Magic setup rather than a Ranged one.

Requirements

  • Completion of the quests Troll Stronghold and Edgar’s Ruse
  • Level 99 Magic
  • Level 80+ Defence
  • Level 77+ Prayer
  • Full ancestral set
  • Slayer helmet (i) if on task
  • Occult necklace
  • Imbued zamorak cape
  • Tumuken’s shadow
  • Rada’s blessing 4
  • Tormented bracelet
  • Magus ring
  • Eternal boots
  • Eldritch nightmare staff or accursed scepter for spec (optional)
  • Elidnis ward (f) for the staff
  • If not bringing the nightmare staff bring a staff along that can auto-cast ancient spells.
  • Saturated heart
  • Crossbow with mithril grapple which you can drop afterwards
  • 4 Brews, 6 restores and the rest is angler fish

This setup is solely dependent on the shadow. It is also advisable to have ecumenical keys prepared in advance. You can keep protection from ranged on and kill the boss with your Shadow, after which you can switch to your Eldritch staff and auto-cast blood barrage on minions to restore your health without wasting any food. Doing this will average you around 6.4M per hour!

Killing Zilyana

Commander Zilyana boss in Old School Runescape

Our second boss for the most profitable GWD bosses is Commander Zilyana. This boss, just like Kree’arra, is pretty simple. You only really need some tank gear with a crossbow to kill this boss, but that will not make you the profits we are going to show. You will need the following requirements to make bank with Zilyana every hour!

Requirements

  • Level 70 Agility
  • Completion of the quests Troll Stronghold and Edgar’s Ruse
  • Level 80+ Defence
  • Level 77+ Prayer
  • Level 99 Ranged
  • Level 99 Magic

If you are killing with Ranged:

  • Masori mask (f) or Slayer helmet (i)
  • Masori body and chaps (f)
  • Necklace of anguish
  • Dizana’s quiver charged or Ava’s assembler
  • Twisted bow with dragon arrows
  • Zaryte vambraces
  • Pegasian boots
  • Ring of suffering (ri)
  • Toxic blowpipe to kill minions
  • Divine bastion potion

If you are killing with Magic:

  • Slayer helmet (i) or Ancestral hat
  • Ancestral robe top and bottom
  • Imbued god cape
  • Tumuken’s Shadow
  • Rada’s blessing 4
  • Tormented bracelet
  • Eternal boots
  • Magus ring
  • Eldritch nightmare staff to auto-cast blood barrage and for spec
  • Elidnis’ ward (f) for nightmare staff
  • Saturated heart

For the Ranged setup, you will need a lot more food, so prioritize that. For the Magic setup, you will need a lot more prayer potions, so prioritize that. Make sure that you bring along 3 stamina potions or a lot of purple sweets.

The technique to kill this boss is pretty straightforward. If you are using Magic, turn on protect from missiles; if you are using Ranged, turn on protect from magic. After that, simply hit the boss and run around the room alongside the walls. Turn around and hit once every time you have the chance and keep running. After the kill, you can blood barrage off the minions or kill them with your blowpipe. Doing this for an hour will average you around 5.3M Gold!

Killing Phantom Muspah

Phantom Muspah boss in Old School Runescape

Now we are moving toward some difficult challenges. If you are not confident in your PVMing skills, it is recommended that you stick with the methods shown above. But if you are confident, you will have a lot more options to choose to make money.

Requirements

  • Completion of the quest Secrets of the North
  • Level 99 Ranged
  • Level 99 Magic
  • Level 77+ Prayer
  • Level 80+ Defence

For the most efficient kills, you must switch to a Magic setup during the melee phases of the boss. If you don’t want to do that, you can sacrifice some kill times and bring only Ranged.

  • Slayer helmet (i)
  • Full Masori for ranged
  • Full Ancestral for magic
  • Imbued god cape and Dizana’s quiver
  • Tumuken’s shadow and Twisted bow
  • Tormented bracelet and Zaryte vambraces
  • Eternal boots and Pegasian boots
  • Lightbearer
  • Zaryte crossbow with sapphire bolts (e) for spec
  • Ranging potions
  • Restores
  • Stamina potions
  • Angler fish

Position yourself by the cave entrance while waiting for the boss to spawn. Switch your protection prayers based on the Muspah's current attack style. Keep a thrall active at all times - simply resummon when your current one expires.

For the melee phase, you have two options. You can either stay 4 tiles east of where the boss spawns and use the step-back technique, or run around to kite the boss. The step-back method requires moving away exactly one tick before its attack animation starts. With Protect from Melee active, you'll force a zero hit if the Muspah is moving during its melee attack.

Your accuracy takes a hit during melee phases, so bring stamina potions if you're planning to run around a lot. While a ring of endurance would help conserve run energy and double stamina duration, the Lightbearer is often better since it helps ensure your spec is ready for the prayer shield phase.

Don't waste specs trying to lower the boss's defense - the Dragon Warhammer and Elder Maul aren't very effective here due to its high defense and melee resistance. Save your special attacks for the prayer shield phase where you can use either the Zaryte or Armadyl crossbow specs to trigger sapphire bolt effects. Another solid option is using Tonalztics of Ralos special attack during the ranged phase for more consistent defense reduction.

When the Muspah starts teleporting, you can avoid all shadow orbs by standing in the southwest-center square while still being able to attack without getting pulled out of position.

During the shield phase, start with Greater Corruption to apply damage over time that helps break the shield if you're not comfortable prayer flicking. Switch to your crossbow with sapphire bolts (e), use specs when available, and keep those protection prayers up. Once the shield drops, go back to your Twisted Bow to finish it off.

Each kill typically uses about 4 doses of prayer/restore potions, 1 dose of ranging/bastion potion, and 1-3 pieces of food depending on how cleanly you execute the fight. A stamina dose usually lasts 2-3 kills. With good supply drops, expect 15-20 kill trips averaging around 2:10 per kill plus 30-second respawn times, putting you at roughly 20-25 kills per hour.

If you can kill this boss efficiently, you can expect to average around 5.7M per hour!

Killing Vardorvis

Vardorvis boss in Old School Runescape

One of the advantages of being a high-level player is the quests and their rewards. We are going to take a look at the two most profitable bosses from Desert Treasure 2! All of these bosses drop a highly coveted best-in-slot ring alongside Virtus and pieces of the Soulreaper axe. Starting with Vardorvis, this boss can feel very intimidating at first, but once you get the movements down to dodge those axes, it becomes pretty simple.

Requirements

  • Completion of the quest Desert Treasure 2
  • It is recommended to have 99 in all melee stats, but if you don’t have that, get at least 90+.
  • Level 70+ Prayer
  • Slayer helmet (i) or Torva full helm
  • Torva platebody and platelegs
  • Soulreaper axe
  • Rada’s blessing 4
  • Ferocious gloves
  • Primordial boots
  • Bellator ring
  • Dragon claws or Voidwaker with Avernic defender (if you are bringing claws, make sure to use them when Vardorvis is at low health; otherwise, you are likely to hit zeros)
  • 1 Divine super combat potion
  • 2 Super restores or Prayer potions
  • Anglerfish to boost health
  • Cooked moonlight antelope or other 3-tick food for eating after the virus attack (can eat before attacking after the special attack).
  • Cooked karambwans to combo eat
  • Book of the dead for Arceuus spellbook
  • (Divine) Rune pouch and runes for Thrall spells and Death Charge
  • Ring of shadows for quick teleportation to the Stranglewood temple if the Strangled tablet has been obtained
  • House tablets (or Construction cape/Max cape) or Desert amulet 4

If you kill this boss until you hit that Ultor ring drop, you can expect to make around 7M per hour!

Killing Leviathan

Leviathan boss in Old School Runescape

Our second boss on the chopping block is the Leviathan. Just like Vardorvis, this boss takes some getting used to, but after that, it becomes really easy as it relies solely on muscle memory.

Requirements

  • Completion of the quest Desert Treasure 2
  • Level 99 Ranged
  • Level 80+ Defence
  • Level 74+ Prayer
  • Level 52+ Magic for Shadow Rush
  • Slayer helmet (i) or Masori mask (f)
  • Masori body and chaps (f)
  • Necklace of anguish
  • Dizana’s quiver
  • Zaryte crossbow or Twisted bow
  • Twisted buckler
  • Ruby dragon bolts (e) or dragon arrows
  • Zaryte vambraces
  • Pegasian boots
  • Venator ring
  • Divine bastion potions
  • Prayer potions and decent food

The Venator ring drop will be most of the profits when you get it, so if you kill it until you receive one, you can expect to make around 5M per hour!

Killing Phosani’s Nightmare

Phosani’s Nightmare boss in Old School Runescape

We are now moving up to the big leagues, starting with Phosani’s Nightmare. This boss requires the best crush gear you can muster and some patience, as the kill does take a long time. The rewards aside from the uniques are really bad, but if you are patient enough, you will be rewarded handsomely!

Requirements

  • Level 90+ in all combat styles except Ranged (99 is recommended)
  • Level 77+ Prayer
  • Completion of the quest Priest in Peril

Gear is extremely important for this boss, more so than the other bosses we have covered. This is due to the length of the fight. You will need to have both magic and melee setups to kill this boss effectively. If you are short on budget, always prioritize Melee upgrades over the Magic ones.

  • Inquisitor’s great helm, hauberk, and plateskirt
  • Scythe of Vitur (on crush)
  • Rada’s blessing 4
  • Ferocious gloves
  • Primordial boots
  • Ultor ring
  • Voidwaker for special attack

Magic Setup:

  • Ancestral hat, robe top, and robe bottom
  • Occult necklace
  • Imbued god cape
  • Tumuken's Shadow or Harmonised Nightmarestaff
  • Tome of Fire (if using Nightmarestaff)
  • Tormented bracelet
  • Eternal boots
  • Magos ring

You can leave out 1-2 items to reduce the number of gear switches if you choose to.

  • Saturated heart, Book of the Dead for Thralls
  • Rune pouch with Thrall runes
  • Prayer potions, Sanfew serums, and Divine combat potions

As mentioned before, the main reason why you are killing this boss is for those juicy uniques. Each kill has a 1/113 chance of a rare drop being rolled. Given that, you can expect to average around 7.5M per hour if you kill this boss for a long period of time.

Chambers of Xeric

Chambers of Xeric raid in Old School Runescape

We are onto the raids territory now. Raids are infamous for their lengthy completion times and their valuable mega-rare rewards. These mega-rare drops can make you bank in a single run as they are worth more than a billion gold. Chambers of Xeric is the first raid ever introduced to Old School Runescape, so right now it is the least profitable.

Requirements

  • Level 90+ in all combat stats (99 is recommended)
  • Level 77+ Prayer
  • Level 85+ Farming for best yields from farming patches
  • Level 90 Herblore to brew the best potions
  • Level 90 Construction to build the largest storage units

Since this is a raid, you actually need to bring along all 3 styles of combat with you. Yes, you will have more switches in your inventory than supplies. Don’t worry though, as things can change with different raid layouts and you can actually store the unnecessary combat items at the very end, making room for more supplies for the final boss.

  • Torva platebody and platelegs or Bandos chestplate and tassets
  • Lightbearer or Ultor ring
  • Amulet of Rancour
  • Dragon hunter lance or Scythe of Vitur (if bringing Vitur, bring along a stab weapon)
  • Avernic defender
  • Elder maul
  • Primordial boots
  • Ferocious gloves
  • Masori mask, body, and chaps (f)
  • Necklace of Anguish
  • Twisted bow or Dragon hunter crossbow
  • Zaryte vambraces
  • Pegasian boots
  • Toxic blowpipe
  • Ancestral robe top and bottom
  • Occult necklace
  • Imbued god cape
  • Tumuken’s Shadow
  • Tormented bracelet
Chambers of Xeric loot image Chambers of Xeric inventory setup

Raids are a lot to take in with a huge learning curve, and unfortunately, we don’t have a guide on Chambers of Xeric as of now. However, if you can get almost 3 completions per hour, you can expect to make 8.4M per hour!

Tombs of Amascut

On to the next raid TOA. To maximise your profits from this raid you will be completing it solo at 500 Raid level which will increase your chances of getting a unique exponentially. Just like COX this raid also has a steep learning curve but the rewards are well worth it if you have the patience for it!

Requirements

  • Completion of the Beneath Cursed Sands quest
  • Level 99 in all combat stats
  • Level 77+ Prayer

Just like the other raid, we will need to bring along all 3 combat styles to successfully complete this raid. Bring along as many switches as you want to as long as you are comfortable switching.

  • Torva platebody, platelegs and full helm
  • Amulet of rancour
  • Infernal cape
  • Osmuten’s fang
  • Avernic defender
  • Ferocious gloves
  • Primordial boots
  • Lightbearer and ultor ring
  • Voidwaker and bandos godsword for special attack (if you only want one, bring bandos godsword)
  • Masori mask, body, and chaps (f)
  • Necklace of anguish
  • Twisted bow and toxic blowpipe
  • Zaryte vambraces
  • Pegasian boots
  • Venator ring
  • Ancestral hat, robe top, and bottom
  • Occult necklace
  • Imbued god cape
  • Tumuken’s shadow
  • Tormented bracelet
  • Eternal boots
  • Magus ring
Tombs of Amascut combat preparation Tombs of Amascut strategy map

If you can get one and a half kills per hour or more you can expect to make around 12.5M per hour!

Theatre of Blood

Theatre of Blood raid preparation

Surprisingly the best raid to make some money is the Theatre of Blood. Unlike the other raids, however, this one requires 3 people, so gather a crew or call your friends! (This is the only exception for this guide) Being the second raid introduced to OSRS, it houses the highly coveted Scythe of Vitur, the absolute best melee weapon out there. This raid was not this profitable a few years back, but since the update to the scythe, things have changed.

Requirements

  • Completion of the Priest in Peril quest
  • Level 99 in all combat stats
  • Level 77+ Prayer

Just like the other raid, we will need to bring along all 3 combat styles to successfully complete this raid. Bring as many switches as you want, as long as you are comfortable switching. You can also choose to use elite void to cut down on your switches massively, but that can result in fewer kills per hour. There are also roles in TOA, so depending on your group, you might need to bring different gear setups.

  • Torva full helm, platebody, and platelegs or Bandos chestplate and tassets
  • Lightbearer or Ultor ring
  • Amulet of rancour
  • Scythe of Vitur
  • Avernic defender
  • Elder maul, dragon claws, and Bandos godsword
  • Primordial boots
  • Ferocious gloves
  • Masori body and chaps (f)
  • Necklace of anguish
  • Twisted bow or dragon hunter crossbow
  • Zaryte vambraces
  • Pegasian boots
  • Toxic blowpipe
  • Ancestral robe top and bottom
  • Occult necklace
  • Imbued god cape
  • Sanguinesti staff and Kodai wand
  • Elidnis’ ward (f)
  • Tormented bracelet

If you can get around 3 raid completions per hour without any deaths, you can expect to make around 14.1M per hour!

Completing the Colosseum

Colosseum entrance in OSRS

Finally, we have arrived at the pinnacle of money making if you have what it takes. Completing the Colosseum is no easy feat and will put all your game knowledge to the test, but even raids can compete with the rewards from this place.

Requirements

  • Level 99 in all combat stats except Prayer
  • Level 77+ Prayer
  • Completion of the quest Children of the Sun

The Colosseum requires a good melee setup alongside a good secondary style. Both Ranged and Magic work, so pick the one that suits you best. However, if you have good gear for both, Ranged is marginally better in terms of DPS and cost.

  • Torva full helmet and Masori mask (f)
  • Torva platebody and Masori body (f)
  • Torva platelegs and Masori chaps (f)
  • Amulet of bloodfury and Necklace of anguish
  • Infernal cape and Dizana’s Quiver
  • Scythe of Vitur, Twisted Bow, Tumuken’s Shadow, and Venator Bow
  • Ferocious gloves and Zaryte vambraces
  • Primordial boots
  • Ultor ring and Lightbearer
  • Saradomin godsword

What makes this money-making method so effective is that unlike other methods, this one is guaranteed. The main item you are looking to get is the quiver, which has a 100% drop rate if you manage to kill Sol-Heredit. You can exchange this quiver for sunfire splinters, which will be the bulk of your profits. If you manage to overcome this challenge, you can expect to make around 17.1M per hour!

Good luck making money out there. It is quite a hard task to make money in this game, so as mentioned before, you can check out our store and skip some annoying hurdles that this game creates!
