How to get rich in D2R during a Ladder Reset

Diablo 2: Resurrected is an action role-playing game that has been a classic for over two decades. With its recent release, many players are once again diving into the game, looking to make a fortune. One of the key ways to get rich in the game is to take advantage of the ladder reset.

A ladder reset is a periodic event where the game's servers are wiped clean of all characters, items, and other data. This provides players with a fresh start, and a chance to compete with one another to climb the ranks of the in-game leaderboard. This reset also provides a great opportunity for players to farm items and gold, which can be sold for real-world currency.

By taking advantage of the ladder reset and following some basic tips for farming, players can accumulate wealth and gear that will help them progress through the game. Whether you're a veteran player or just starting out, the ladder reset is an excellent opportunity to get ahead and make your fortune in Diablo 2: Resurrected.

To keep this short and precise, here is a list of the most efficient ways of getting rich in Diablo 2 Resurrected, specially when ladder resets are rolling out.

Travincal runs:
Travincal has a lot of to offer in terms of mobs and champions, however one specific type of mobs is highly worth killing in this area and the best part is. The map is always the same and the mobs are always in the same area, right next to the waypoint of Travincal.

The council, the mobs You’re facing right at the entrance to Durance of hate on your way to Mephisto.

These mobs are known for their high gold drops and ability to drop a lot of charms, jewels and potentially high value blue items. HOWEVER! What most people don’t know is, that these mobs actually have the highest dropratio of high runes. Yes, You heard that right. Without going in to too much specific details, each of these council members are almost having the same odds of dropping a high rune as Mephisto does. But here you just have 6-7 council members to kill + way less health pool to get through.

The Cow Level

As a reminder, there is no secret cow level in Diablo 2: Resurrected. You cannot access the portal until you have defeated Baal in the difficulty level you are playing. Once you have done so, however, this is a fantastic place to begin your farming journey as you will be able to acquire a significant amount of items, including runewords, early gems, economy charms, and even some valuable runes if you're lucky.

What makes this location so attractive for farming is its high density of mobs and the predictability of their spawn patterns. If you are able to easily defeat the cows, this is an ideal location to farm with the potential for better drops and a greater challenge.

Farming Level 85 areas

In Diablo 2: Resurrected, level 85 areas are one of the most important places to farm for valuable items and gold. With the recent addition of the new D2R ladder, a multitude of level 85 zones have been added to the game, which increases the diversity of build options for players looking to farm these areas.

One of the most significant advantages of level 85 areas is that they have the potential to drop almost any item in the game. This means that players can potentially obtain some of the rarest and most valuable items in the game while farming in these areas.

However, it's important to note that the level 85 areas in Diablo 2: Resurrected are not without challenge. These zones are designed to have immunities to at least two elements, with some having immunities to all elements. For example, the Flare Dungeon is one of the most challenging zones in the game, with immunity to all elements.

For players looking to maximize their wealth and progress in Diablo 2: Resurrected, level 85 areas are a must-visit location for farming. With their high potential for valuable item drops and their diversity of build options, level 85 areas are a fantastic spot to farm and advance in the game.

Pindle, Eldrich & Shenk (EPS)

In Diablo 2: Resurrected, farming in Eldritch Pindle, Shank, and Pindle (known collectively as "EPS") is another popular option for players looking to accumulate wealth and gear. These three unique monsters are always located in the same spots, which makes them easily accessible and allows players to run all three in a single game in less than a minute.

The repeatability of EPS farming makes it a great option for players looking to accumulate vast amounts of valuable loot. With the ability to run all three monsters in a single game, players have endless opportunities to obtain some of the best gear in the game.

However, it's important to note that the immunities of EPS can vary. To be most effective when farming EPS, players should approach this location as a dual-element build or physical build. For example, Eldritch was immune to cold and fire on one of the test runs, which made using a Hydra Orb spell ineffective against that monster, but still effective against the other two.

In conclusion, farming in EPS is a popular and effective way to accumulate wealth and gear in Diablo 2: Resurrected. With its repeatable nature and the potential for valuable item drops, EPS is a great location to farm and advance in the game.

Offer boosts in multiplayer

There is nothing secret about this, yet it requires a well geared character, online multiplayer and preferably a partner in the beginning of a ladder reset. However, if that’s something you can get, you will be able to make a lot of wealth. Most people want their new characters boosted early and the prices for these rushes are very high. You can use forums, such as d2jsp to find people looking to be boosted on multiple chars, or search through the ingame chat.
When done correct the boosts can be the best paying job when a ladder reset hits, however its also one of the more time consuming one and without the exiting feeling of finding a high value item. Here You’re earning a stable amount of income by trading your time to boost the lower geared/leveled players.

Hellfire torch farming

The hellfire torch farming method has been one of the most popular ways of making gold in Diablo 2 resurrected. Specially during a ladder reset!
Every single class wants a torch, so the item is indeed highly searched for. The demand is extremely high and due to ladder reset, the supply is relative low.

There are two ways of approaching this. Either you start of with a little bit of investment and buying the organs so you can open Uber Tristam and go straight in to farming the hellfire torch. Or you can team up with some and start farming the keys on your own.

We do highly suggest to do this as a team run to be most efficient, specially because getting the keys can be time consuming if You’re sitting on a smiter paladin. Where are doing the uber bosses will be impossible for a sorceress in the early ladder.

We suggest doing the Hellfire torch farming method. While any of these methods work, our personal experience is that Torch farming simply works best. The boosting method can make better wealth if You can afford an enigma on a hammerdin. It is expensive, time consuming and boring while finding players to offer the repeatable boost over and over. However, it pays off really well.

The hellfire torch method has a bit of everything in it, the rng feeling of finding a relative easy item (Keys), with a high drop chance. It has the challenge of killing the uber bosses, its somewhere what consistent and you can change from selling the torches unid to be identifiying them and selling them with the stats shown. Paladin and Sorch torches will be selling for extreme amounts early in the ladder.

With that said, You can check out our guide on how to farm your hellfire torch!
