Honor is the weapon benchmark for most Melee classes as they progress from the beginning of Nightmare into Hell. It has solid stats which cover everything a melee character needs, but nothing that really stands out. In most cases, it will be replaced at some point near the end of Nightmare or the beginning of Hell when mid-runes start becoming more common and better Runewords such as Crescent Moon and Lawbringer become available.

The best base for an Honor Runeword is a Naga which can drop from Nightmare Act I Catacombs 3 and onwards.
