Diablo 4 Spiritborn Build: Evade Eagle

As the name suggests, this Spiritborn build focuses mainly on helping you evade enemies constantly. Doing so will trigger a few offensive bonuses for your character, so it's definitely not all about defense for this one.

What's great about this build is that it's currently one of the fastest in the game, making it perfect for those with a need for speed.

Other than evade, there are a few other important active skills which we'll discuss in a bit. As with all builds, it's going to take some time before you can fully optimize this one. You can check out our Diablo 4 services page to see how we can help you out.

Build Requirements

The most important part of this build is that you should maximize your Evade charges. All characters start with a base of 1 Evade charge. The easiest way to get it up is by using the Acceleration passive, which gives you +3 Evade charges for a total of four.

The gear you'll need for this build is more versatile than others, but What's important at first is that you get the Harlequin Crest. Since this item is very rare, you can make ends meet with the Sepanzontec. it's still rare but a much easier find than the Harlequin Crest.

With these items, you'll be able to cast Accelerated Thunderspike whenever you evade. This resets your Evade's cooldown, allowing you to cast Accelerated Thunderspike multiple times.

Skill Setup for the Spiritborn Evade Build

Now comes the important part: setting up the skills for your Spiritborn Evade build. it's important that you follow the order of the skills below as this build requires a very specific playstyle to maximize damage output. you'll need a total of 71 Skill Points for this. Let's begin.

SkillNote
Thunderspike (5/5) +3 from passives and gearThis is the star of this build and this is the skill that you'll mostly be dealing damage with. The upgrades we've chosen. Accelerated Thunderspike helps you deal damage using the skill passively while you Evade. By maxing out your evade charges and cooldown, you can easily spam this skill.
Ravager (5/5)Replenishing Ravager will basically act as a means to help you take out those tanky bosses. it's not very helpful against useful mobs compared to Thunderspike, but you're still getting lots of damage done thanks to Potent against bosses.
Mirage (3/3)This special passive skill increases your survivability by a huge margin. Since you're going to be dodging mostly, you may as well use this passive to further prevent damage from enemies. With this, you have less to worry about when it comes to timing your Evades for defense.
Unrestrained Power (3/3)This gives you that extra oomph thanks to a few bonuses. Thunderspike lacks in damage compared to other basic attack skills, so you'll definitely need this for doing even more damage.
Focal Point (3/3)The weapon type bonuses for Focal Point are very helpful especially when it comes to maximizing.
Diminishment (3/3)For a bit of survivability, make sure to use Diminishment as well. This greatly decreases the amount of damage you take from enemies once you trigger the Vulnerable passive to them. Again, this is very helpful considering that this build is a bit of a glass cannon.
Apex (3/3)you're going to be facing tons of Elite enemies, especially if you're farming for Diablo 4 Endgame Gear. We all know exactly how tanky these enemies can be, so you'll need Apex to make them easier to kill.

Runeword Setup

You can equip up to two Runewords, each with a Ritual and Invocation Rune. If your build calls for it, socket them in Two-Handed Weapons. Otherwise, swap them into your Armor instead of regular gems.

For this build, again, it's very important to get the right bonuses. You want a mix of offense, defense, and mobility as well. Here's what the Evade Eagle Spiritborn build focuses on:

Top Picks

  • Xol + Xal – Adds extra defense.
  • Cem + Que – Earthen Bulwark gives you a Barrier for added protection, plus you get Viscous Shield!
  • Other Options
  • Gar – Boosts your Critical Strike Chance.
  • Wat – Decrepify helps with stagger and defense, and lets you finish off enemies when they're down to 10% HP.
  • Zec – Cuts down your ultimate cooldown, so you can use Intricacy more often. Keep Armored Hide active!
  • Bac – If you're super mobile, you'll constantly gather offerings.
  • Cir – Every Evade triggers Thunderspike, so three Evades = three offerings.

Unlike the Skill selection, the runeword setup for any build is more versatile. Use what you have at the moment and don't waste your time farming to get others. Focus on building up your skills and gear first. Make this the last of your priority.

You can set up your Diablo 4 Mercenary in any way that you want to for this build. However, we prefer Varyana due to her ability to take in a lot of damage.

How to Play the Spiritborn Evade Build

Start by using your buffs—Ravager and Armored Hide—then activate The Devourer. This is going to be your rotation whenever you're going to engage in a fight. it's simple and pretty quick to do.

Keep Armored Hide up all the time for Unstoppable and a damage boost! Use Scourge whenever it's off cooldown, then you can Evade. If the third Thunderspike attack doesn’t give you back 3 Evade charges, you'll need more cooldown reduction.

Spiritborn_Evade_Build_Boss_Fight

Although this build is made to keep you on your feet constantly evading, it's still better to mind where you're going to move towards. This might sound counterintuitive, but always Evade towards large groups of enemies. This will help trigger most of your passives.

For Boss Fights

  • Heal up before the fight.
  • Get a Barrier from Auspicious.
  • Wait for all your cooldowns to reset.
  • Evade Your Way To Victory

  • The Diablo 4 Spiritborn build we've just given is unlike any other build in the game. It might take some time getting used to but it's definitely one of the most powerful builds for the Spiritborn right now. If you want help, reach out to us as RPGStash!
