Diablo 4 , Game Guides
Finding the Diablo 4 Season 6 best builds is a bit tough because there are so many to choose from. The game has changed in a lot of ways, which explains why the meta has shifted completely. There are loads of builds to try out, and it's honestly exciting for all players.
When making your own build, it's important to know what the purpose of the build is first. Some builds are mainly focused on leveling, some are for farming, and some are simply for fighting. We've got a few builds made for various purposes below, so don't hesitate to check them out.
If you're having trouble with your builds, make sure to check out RPGStash's Diablo 4 store for D4 Gold, Items, and more.
Why You Must Play Meta This Season
The reason why this season it is actually very important to make a good build is because if you're not running a good meta build for Glyphs to get to 100, your build may hit a wall and become unable to get any stronger, even though there is some room to improve.
Therefore, it is crucial that you take a meta build. If you want to play your favorite build, you can do that after you create a meta build to level up those Glyphs. Not every build will be able to tackle Pit 100, which is kind of like our benchmark.
Best Spiritborn Build
Let's start off with the Spirit Born build. This is the build referred to as the Quill Volley build. We're going to showcase some gameplay and talk a little bit about how the build plays and the playstyle so you can understand what you're in for if you decide to create these builds.
Keep in mind that to push the highest, you need to achieve absolutely perfect Masterworks. Realistically, most players are not going to be interested in spending 30 hours a day to get those very specific Masterworks.
There are players out there who have been playing for a long time and still don't have them; it's simply due to RNG and the nature of the masterworking system in the game.
This is the Quill Volley build. It is a Best Spirit Born Build that heavily relies on getting within melee range and then basically spamming all of its skills. It is very intensive on button pushing; in fact, most of the builds this season are.
However, what it requires you to do is play in melee range. Even though it is a ranged skill, you get a lot of bonuses, like slowing enemies the closer you get to them, applying a form of poison to gain a centipede bonus, and having enemies affected by fear.
You also gain bonuses for crowd control; it all kind of adds up. What it requires you to do is spam your Quill Volley, which is going to give you crazy, and we mean crazy, amounts of damage numbers—we're talking trillions.
As far as builds go, this one is probably one of the more beginner-friendly ones to acquire the gear for at a lower level to gain much more value in terms of how high you can push.
The reason for this is that it requires zero Mythic items, which can often deter players from certain builds. However, this build does not require any. There are some variants where you could use Mythic items. We can highly recommend the Gorilla build as well.
Even though the Gorilla build isn't pushing the highest, it is still one of the best builds in the entire game and probably our highest recommendation for the majority of players, simply because it feels much better than most builds.
This one, the Spiritborn, is an absolute S-tier build. In fact, everything is going to be S-tier for the class. However, if we look at them overall, we’ll be honest: most of the classes are probably in the C or D tier, and there's only one class in S-tier, which is Spiritborn.
The difference between a 150 Rift and a 100 or 110 is massive; it's such a huge difference. If you're looking for the best Spirit Born build, it's called the Quill Volley build.
Best Barbarian Build
Next up is the best Barbarian build. This build has cleared a 114, placing it in number two. The differences in performance are quite significant. However, we want to mention that this is not going to be an easy build to play because you need to group up the enemies properly.
If you apply too much crowd control, they won't group up the way you want them to, and you'll have to shoot your skills straight; that's kind of how the build works.
This is a weapon throw build, which is actually quite cool because it is one of the newer skills that Barbarian has had in its arsenal. Even though it has Hammer of the Ancients, it is used to proc other bonuses, specifically getting Overpower.
You can gain other bonuses based on that, and there are other skills that can work off of if you use a different skill for the Barbarian. But for the most part, it is going to be a weapon throw build. This build is currently the best Barbarian build in the game.
Best Necromancer Build
Next up is what most people call the Spirit Wave Necromancer. You will be spamming a lot of Blood Waves. Just a heads up, this is another build that may not be the most beginner-friendly, primarily due to gear requirements.
Most of the rank one pushes will really push you to acquire some of the best gear. With this build, you need to time your Corpse Tendrils properly, as that is key for grouping everything together. This timing allows you to deal massive amounts of damage.
This build is visually cool but can be very cluttered; for instance, if there's something on the ground that’s going to explode, you might not see it. If you don't like visual clutter, you may want to stay away from this build.
Unfortunately, even with the minion buffs, We're hoping minions would make a comeback, but this is currently the best Necromancer build, essentially a Blood Wave spammer.
The cooldowns go absolutely crazy with this build, and again, many of these builds, especially this season, are heavy on button spamming. However, with Corpse Tendrils, you will want to time it at certain intervals to achieve effective pulls.
Best Rogue Build
The next build is a pretty big surprise. It comes down to the nerfing of the victimized skill. There were many different victimized builds set to be utilized in Season 6 with the Dance of Knives.
However, the current best build in the game is actually a Rapid Fire Rogue, which is a huge surprise to many in the Rogue community. They kind of nerfed it after the PTR in terms of Dance of Knives, so this is the build to focus on.
Just a heads up, depending on the variant you want to play, it will require you to build up these combo points and expend them. This build does require you to pay attention.
Sometimes, when you freeze or when you have too many bouncing arrows while running the Rapid Fire variant, it can cause the game to lag a little. Just be aware of that; however, it won't be as laggy as the Spirit Born Evade build that was recently nerfed.
Best Sorcerer Build
Technically, the next build will have the highest push on other sources. However, navigating that site is challenging, and the quality of the information is not great.
So, even though this build has the highest push, there's another one we found via Roxy that is a Fireball Shatter build for this season. This choice ensures better video quality and allows me to link it, as sometimes external links are problematic for YouTube.
The Fireball build requires you to group up the enemies, which is key to receiving the bonus from the Shatter effect. Just a heads up, we would say this build is one of the hardest to play—not because of its playstyle, but because to effectively take down bosses.
Best Druid Build
Next up is the Hurricane Druid, which is currently the best Druid build. We will go over the numbers shortly. This build requires a unique setup because you must stay in Werebear form for a certain duration.
Once you've maintained that form long enough, your next skill will be Overpower, followed by Hurricane. You must maintain your Werebear form, so you shouldn’t just spam your skills, as this can lead to mistakes.
Tier List for Casual Players
For casual players, my recommendation leans heavily toward Spiritborn. This build stands out significantly because you don't need mythic gear to perform well. Many top-tier builds require perfect gear to feel effective.
In comparison, other builds require players to invest in glyphs and gear to match the efficiency of Spirit Born. The advantage that Spirit Born has in the game is massive, creating a night-and-day difference in advancement potential compared to other classes.
Recommendations for New Players
We frequently receive questions about which class to start with in Diablo 4. While we would recommend the Spiritborn as the best class by far, if it's your first time playing, we suggest trying the Rogue.
The Rogue class offers diverse playstyles, making it one of the coolest options available.
