Diablo 4 , Game Guides , Tier List
Diablo 4 Season 5 is now out and there's lots of new challenges and demons that await you. The new season has brought in loads of new content and mechanics to get into but we're sure that you're most excited for what types of builds you can create this season.
As early as now, you should consider optimizing your characters for the builds below.
Barbarian Flayer
Barbarian's got a bit of a nerf in season 5 but despite this, they're still pretty much a good class to choose in the upcoming season. If you want to make the most out of the Barbarian, you'd want to focus on Flay as your primary skill. Partner this with other skills such as War Cry, Challenging Shout, Iron Skin, and Steel Grasp and you've got yourself a powerful build. The point allocation should be as follows:
Talent | Points | Upgrades |
Flay | 5/5 | Enhanced, Battle |
Imposing Presence | 3/3 | |
Martial Vigor | 3/3 | |
Iron Skin | 1/5 | Enhanced, Tactical |
Outburst | 1/3 | |
Tough as Nails | 1/3 | |
Challenging Shout | 1/5 | Enhanced |
War Cry | 1/ | Enhanced, Mighty |
Booming Voice | 3/3 | |
Guttural Yell | 3/3 | |
Aggressive Resistance | 3/3
Pit Fighte | 3/3 | |
Slaying Strike | 3/3 | |

Thick Skin | 3/3 | |
Counteroffensive | 3/3 | |
Steel Grasp | 1/5 | Enhanced, Fighter's |
Heavy Handed | 3/3 | |
Gushing Wounds | 1/1 |
Gameplay is pretty much aggressive through and through and you'd want to make sure that you're using a two-handed weapon as well. Based on the Diablo 4 Season 5 PTR, it seems like these Skills are going to be at the forefront of every Barbarian build throughout the season.
In our opinion, the Barbarian might be one of the weaker classes in Season 5 but that's okay considering that it's been a star and a favorite class for several seasons already.
Barbarian Basher
Bash is still a solid choice as a basic attack for the upcoming season despite the nerfs being made to it. You just really need to make a solid build for your Barbarian and you can make it work. This selection of Skills will make sure that your Barbarian is getting a ton of benefits from the shouts.
Gameplay for this build is very head-on as it sees you charging at enemies again and again to gain the upper hand. For this build, you might want to focus on making sure that your equipment is providing a ton of grea defensive bonuses considering that this build will put you at the forefront of enemies constantly. It's similar to a Whirlwind Twister Barbarian gameplay, which is also a good choice for this season.
Talent | Points | Upgrades |
Bash | 5/5 | Enhanced, Combat |
Rallying Cry | 1/5 | |
Challenging Shout | 1/5 | |
Charge | 1/5 | |
War Cry | 1/5 | |
Wrath of the Berserker | 1/1

Counteroffensive | 3/3 | |
Heavy Handed | 3/3 | |
Wallop | 3/3 | |
Concussion | 3/3 | |
Unconstrained | 1/1 |
Druid Wind Shearer
Wind Shear is arguably one of the most powerful skills of the Druid right now. In fact, it's a fan favorite during Diablo 4 Season 4. Despite this popularity, the skill isn't getting any nerfs for this season.
As such, Wind Shearer builds are still most likely to take Sanctuary by storm.
It will be exciting to see how this type of build will hold in the season but based on what we've seen so far, it's very likely that this is still a viable option for most players.
What we love most about the Druid Wind Shearer is that it scales pretty well when it comes to the endgame. Unless Blizzard is hiding some game-changing character building mechanics for the next season, we're sure that this build is still good.

The gameplay of this build is pretty boring as it relies heavily on Wind Shear. But if you want an easy time through endgame content, then this is as good as it gets.
Spirit | Boons |
Deer | Wariness |
Eagle | Iron Feather, Swooping Attacks |
Wolf | Bolster |
Snake | Masochistic |
Druid Pulverizer
Next to Wind Shear, one of the best main skills to work on for Diablo 4 Season 5 is Pulverize. This build below is rather simple as it will just require you to transform into a bear and focus mainly on using Pulverize. It's going to be your go-to way of damaging enemies and the other skills are just there to progress through the Skill tree.
This build heavily benefits from using Passives in your werebear form so it's pretty straightforward to use. You're free to adapt your gear to your liking but we suggest going for bonuses that benefit your damage over defense. Also, the Shepherd's Aspect is a must for this build.
Talent | Points | Upgrades |
Wind Shear | 1/5 | |
Pulverize | 5/5 | Enhanced Primal |
Blood Howl | 1/5 | |

Deer | Wariness |
Eagle | Iron Feather |
Wolf | Bolster |
Snake | Obsidian Slam |
Necromancer Summons
Necromancers that focus mainly on summoning minions have never been that popular despite the fact that this is what the class is known for. However, there are going to be significant buffs to the Necromancer's minions. This makes being an overlord of the undead a good choice for Diablo 4 Season 5.
Of course, any minion-based build in Diablo 4 is going to be met with the problem that they're glass cannons. As such, make sure to be very careful and cautious when going for this build in particular. The summon choices are pure DPS so there's not a lot of minions to use as shields. Stay back and just focus on summoning minions as much as possible.

Necromancer Bloodsurge Minions
It's really tough to beat the power of minions for the Necromancer right now which is why we're still going with another minion focused build for the second one. However, this time, we'll also focus more on using Blood Surge. While you're still going to rely mainly on your minions, you're going to have to do a bit more legwork as the Necromancer.
While you're going to have to play it safe with the previous build, this one is more risky as it sees you charging into the middle of the pack to use Blood Surge. This huge burst of damage doesn't just help with your survivability, it can also deal with extra tough enemies like bosses or Elites who are in the middle of hordes.
Your Golem minion is going to function mainly as a tank for this build so make sure to stick as close to it as possible. Make sure to focus on bonuses that benefit minions when it comes to choosing your gear.

Rogue Barrage
This Rogue build for Diablo 4 remains relatively easy to make and use. It relies mostly on dealing heavy damage using the Rogue's Barrage skill which is still a good primary for the upcoming season. With this build, you're going to be aiming for stacking up on poison damage against your targets.
What's good about this build is that it maximizes most of the passives in the game so you're getting the most out of them. This build has all the means to get in and out of the enemy's range thanks to the selection of abilities. Our only real problem with this build is that it might be difficult to use against huge hordes which are expected to be a part of the content upcoming in Diablo 4 Season 5.

Rogue Twisting Blades
The main goal of this build is to activate the effects of Shadow Imbuement while you're using Twisting Blades. The entire core gameplay of the build relies mostly on ensuring that this loop happens. With the help of Shadow Step and Dash, you have two mobility skills which can be very helpful for getting in and out of combat situations. When flooded by mobs, these are quick and easy ways to move out of harm's way.The chosen skills for this build got a bit of a push this season. Players are very happy with the recent changes for the Rogue. You can substitute Shadow Imbuement with Poison Imbuement if you want to, as there are reports that the upcoming season will see significant buffs to Poison effects.

Sorcerer Chain Lightning
Diablo 4 Season 5 has a new a horde mode-like activity in the game. If you're playing as a Sorcerer, then one of the best ways to deal with huge hordes of enemies is by simply relying on Chain Lightning. While Arc Lash sounds like a decent choice for a basic attack, you'll have to go with Fire Bolt so that you can keep a safe distance.
This Chain Lightning build allows you to constantly sling spells at enemies and as the lightning bounces off of them, it will be much easier for you to kill huge groups of enemies quickly. This is a relatively easy safe build to play as since you have a few shield spells to keep you company. It's also very easy to use since you'll just be spamming Chain Lightning most of the time.
As with other Sorcerer builds in the game, this one is very vulnerable and requires you to play as safe as possible. When it comes to gear setups, make sure to up your damage as much as possible and just make defence as a secondary consideration.

Sorcerer Firewall
One of the main problems we have with this build is survivability. It can be tough to use early on because of the vulnerabilities that you have. We suggest waiting to be at your highest level and with your best gear before switching to this build.
The build itself features a run and gun playstyle where you'll cast Firewall constantly to deal damage overtime to enemies. It's not that hard to play considering that you have Teleport with you to keep your mobility up. This build is challenging at the beginning but once you've gotten the hang of it, it will feel very simply and powerful.
